*Art Project with Kettle's Yard
The presentation of the Art Project took place at St. Andrew's Centre, Chesterton on May 11th. Twelve people came to see the first showing of the work of the ESOL families. The short film displayed the pictures by adults and children and created a representation of our thoughts about being happy and restored. The film was accompanied with music and creative sounds. Everyone who took part received a free DVD of the work. Click here to see the film we made.
Well done to all those involved - it was fantastic!
The Art project is now finished but we were chosen to take part in this exciting project about making a film and taking part in some other art work. It made us use our experiences of coming to Cambridge in a creative way.
On Friday December 11, we had our first meeting about our Art project - 15 people attended and we were introduced to Lizzy, the professional artist who had won several prizes!
We had the opportunity to try some animation ideas and use a zoetrope for the first time!
Everyone was able to achieve something good - even those who were not very good at drawing!
We enjoyed some wonderful snacks - chocolate Brownies, cakes and savoury snacks as well as coffee and tea.
There were several more meetings in the next 3 months, including half term activities for the children.
We have now had our last class, and everyone enjoyed seeing the film that we had all made at the presentation event!
