Lunches and other get-togethers
Lunch in local cafe on Tuesday 18 October
We enjoyed a great lunch out on 18 October at Tishka on Chesterton Road - 25 members of our classes and volunteer team enjoyed great coffee and tea, baguettes, curry, sandwiches and much more. The service and food quality was fantastic and everyone was served professionally, quickly and with a lovely smile! We had great discussion time and talked to new people. I would recommend this cafe - enjoy some tasty, refreshing food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere! (Sarah)

We had a great meeting on June 3rd to talk about our Summer School and ideas to celebrate 5 years of ESOL this Autumn. We had 10 volunteers and group members who suggested interesting and creative ideas!
Business Lunch
Anita, our librarian, went to represent us at the local Business Lunch and gave a presentation about ESOL café to other local groups. It was a very successful visit and we made some new contacts.
Volunteer Fayre
Sarah attended the Volunteer Fayre in St. Ives on June 7th and made some new contacts and gave out several ESOL business cards!

Lunch at Polonia Restaurant
In July, 23 members of our group enjoyed a lovely meal at Polonia Restaurant on Chesterton Road. Some people enjoyed the Chef's special menu; a lovely traditional vegetarian speciality while others selected from the extensive menu of meat dishes. The food was good and wholesome and we would recommend that you go and try the food there!
Thank you Polonia!

Coffee and Concert
We enjoyed our social visit to CB2 on Friday May 6th. Fifteen of us went for coffee and lunch and then went on to a lovely concert at the Mumford Theatre at Anglia Ruskin University. The concert featured two music students who sang some well known songs as well as their own imaginative compositions and thrilled the audience with their wonderful jazz sounds and moving themes. They were accompanied by a piano, guitar and drums. We all enjoyed the concert!
