Reading Group
English in the Evening - Reading Group
We ran a reading group this term, enjoyed by all who attended. We read “Frozen Pizza and other slices of life” by Antoinette Moses. Each week we read a section, then discussed it at our meetings.
The book is a collection of stories that offer eight slices of life in England today. The themes covered include British eating habits, the media, inner-city problems, immigration, football hooliganism, student life, leisure activities and the countryside. The book gives a lively and amusing account about life in Britain, and a fascinating picture of the country at the start of a new century.
